Maple Brown Sugar Quinoa

Quinoa for breakfast?? ABSOLUTELY with this delicious Maple Brown Sugar Quinoa!!

Serves 4

A quinoa breakfast that is satisfying, sweet and surprisingly delicious.

Prep Time – 10 min

Cook Time – 30 min

Total Time – 45 min

1 cup whole grain organic quinoa
2 cups fat free milk
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp maple syrup

1.Rinse quinoa in a fine mesh strainer by running cold water over the quinoa for several minutes and then set aside
2.In a medium saucepan bring milk to a boil
3.Add in rinsed quinoa, cover and reduce heat to low and simmer for about 15 minutes or until about 2/3 of the milk has ben absorbed
4.Stir in brown sugar and maple syrup and continue cooking UNCOVERED for an additional 8-10 minutes or until the milk is absorbed
5.To serve add in additional milk, brown sugar,maple syrup or fruit if desired
