Pickled Hot Peppers

Pickled Hot Peppers

I have had a lot of you ask for my recipe so here you go. ๐Ÿ™‚ I am not a fan of hot stuff, but I really really like these a lot ๐Ÿ™‚ Donโ€™t forget to share to save ๐Ÿ˜€

what you need
1 lb banana peppers
3 cups white vinegar
2 cups water
3 garlic cloves mashed
3 teaspoons pickling salt
3-pint jars

Sterilize jars, I always run mine through the dishwasher, then i fill the sink with boiling hot water and place them in there to stay hot.

Use gloves (YES make sure you use them, the first year I made these I didnโ€™t and holy crap my hand were on fire lol) Trim off stems and ends shake out most seeds and slice banana peppers into 1/4 and 1/2 โ€ rings. You can also use an assortment of hot peppers for this recipe as well, I only use banana peppers.

In a large pot add water, vinegar, garlic and salt and bring to a boil. Pack hot jars with peppers leaving 1/4โ€ณ of headspace, add 1 tsp of pickling salt to each jar. pour hot brine over peppers leaving 1/4โ€ณ of space near the top, tap out the bubble, give the jar rims a quick wipe and add seals and rings.
Add jars to a boiling bath for 10 minutes. Be careful they will be VERY hot, Lift jar out and place upside down until cool.
